That's it. There is a tiny little box for the plug and antenna but that's it

hmm for the same price, I'd almost rather go with the first one I posted... you can just toss some batteries in it and clip it to your belt and go..... or you can plug it in or hardwire it in to your truck....

Plus, I would be able to wait on running an actual antenna and just use the shorter antenna since we'll just be communicating less than 1/4 mile away on a trail

up to you. If you are mounting on the tailgate, you should have a 4 foot. If youre mounting on the hood, it should be a 3 foot. But up to you

Ah bummer man, any idea where the leaks are penetrating from? I hate trying to find a problem where there shouldn't be one.

I have a three foot on mine, but since I park in garages a lot I take off the antenna when Im not on the trail. That's the beauty of the antenna is you can just unscrew it after it has been adjusted length wise. I am considering getting a 4-5 ft one now because of this.

True it would. Might stick with four feet. But regardless I want something taller than 3 feet.

Yea I'll probably go with the 4 ft, throw a spring on there so it can flex, and maybe make a folding mount for it so when I'm not on the trails I can get into parking garages and such.

That's what @90yota does with his, don't mean to give away his approach, but he does similar.

Id think that would be too much tubing. The front has one already, and for my rear, I just routed the tubing to one of the bed cubbies. Or you can route to behind the tail light, or where the gas tank filler is
