That's cool. I don't have a dog in that particular fight, just like to add to the quality sarcasm that is on this forum. :D

2 multiplied by 2 equals two groups of two thus totaling four.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Off-road packages have a slightly larger rear-end than all the other models? Mine is not part of the recall & I'm wondering if any other OR's are part of this recall

Manufactures do that all the time. Lots of design issues, they change they design of something a year or so later and all parts produced afterwards are the new design. Odds are this diff seal isn't a design issue, it's just a torque or seal seating issue. The only reason Toyota is doing anything about it is because it's a safety issue. That's why it's a recall and not a TSB. If the diff loses enough of all its fluid and seizes or locks up you could get into a serious accident, which Toyota is liable for. That's the only reason for the recall. Otherwise they would only be servicing these within the original warranty period for owners who brought it in with a complaint.

Yes, the OR has a different differential. Assuming made from a different manufacture. There are a few that have leaks but Toyota claims they aren't part of the Recall. Look under your truck and see if there is any signs of weeping or leaks. If so take it in and they will fix it. Mine was dry I looked the other night
