    It would have been interesting to watch the events that caused it to hang up.
    if the binky was dragging, then you prolly gonna drag bare winch line too. I doubt the fail link sits too much flatter. Plus it's just huge.

    As far as your winch, it very well may have caused damage when it was pulled... but I would think it would have just bound up the line before that. You'll have to strip all the line off and see how it runs from that point.
    They aren't hard to take apart either, so don't be afraid to dive in.

    Cool pics too, looks like a lot of fun.:thumbsup:

    Nice trip report bud! I might just quote your post in my build and add some of the night pictures I grabbed.

    I actually cut the sheath on my winch line on this obstacle. Fortunately it didn't do any damage to the line itself.

    Nice work, those are some good trails. You will have to go back for redemption on goldbarspikespider, crack and back really is a great section of trail.

    Thanks, James. That's almost verbatim what Ryan and I said as we were leaving the trail. "At least we know what we'll be doing for Rock Therapy now."

    @alee891

    I got a spare locker box thingamajig under the driver kick panel. No idea what the numbers are on it. From a 02 Dcab auto.

    Pics of location and said thingamajig?!

    @thefatkid any input on this being a potential candidate for a fix?

    AFAIK black box under driver kick panel, search grey wire mod for location info. You ground the wire coming out of it.

    I'll be home in a few and try to get a pic of the numbers on the box.

    Is there any way to tell if the unit is still operational?

    I'd try that perhaps. It'll bypass some of the control and basically make it a fire when you want relay. Could actually help figure out what the hell is going on.

    Or get a volt meter out and pull the plug on the e locker motor and see if there is voltage going to it in the correct way when engaged. If not. Go too the relay and try bypassing it or cleaning it.
