    Hi guys, I've been looking at the grey wire mods and trying to figure out if any of those wires being bypassed carry the signal when the truck is in 4LO.

    Does anyone have access to a wiring diagram or definition of the pin outs on the connectors?

    Can't be done on 2nd gen. However a plug and play 4lo mod is in it's final stages of development and should be for sale very soon - like within a few weeks.

    There is also a DIY version that requires cutting and splicing. Search function will get you there.

    That's what I found, but none of the results indicate what each of the wires being spliced into do. I'm just looking for which wire goes hot when 4LO is engaged. I'm not doing the grey mod, but figured that's where the info would be.

    In the attached file when you are in 4lo:

    TL3 = Ground
    TL2 = Ground
    ADD = Ground
    DL2 = Ground
    DL1 = No Signal

    Nothing really goes "hot" while you are in 4lo. TM1 & TM2 will get a 12v and ground supply, but only during the actual shift into 4lo. Once in 4lo they aren't hot either.

    If you needed something to go hot specifically when you are in 4lo you could tap into TL3 which will ground only when in 4LO and use that ground signal to trigger a relay.

    Hope that helps!

    That's exactly what I needed, thank you!

    The ground should work great I've noticed that with our trucks switching ground is the preferred method of activating things.

    I guess I should have asked too, where is the T3 connector? Is that on the passenger side?

    Sorry for the crappy resolution on this, it is just a quick throw together. The 4WD ECU is behind the glove box and then directly up from there. You need to remove both the glove box and also a plastic cover behind the glove box (remove 1 x 10mm bolt behind the glove box latch bar to get the plastic cover removed). The picture below is the 4WD ECU with the 2 connectors in it... just ignore my wire colors going to that as that is for something else I'm working on.

    4WD ECU.jpg

    TL3 is in connector "B" in slot 23 like shown in the picture below, I put a green slot where you would find TL3. Connector B is the one that has 26 slots (A has 24). Going by the electrical schematic I posted earlier it likely will be a blue wire with a black stripe. But I almost always go by the actual connector pin number which are always accurate.... sometimes the wire color coding on schematics aren't.

    Glad to help and will do :thumbsup:

    What are you looking to trigger with that signal?

    I have a front locker switch that's close to other switches and I don't want to hit it by accident. So I only want to be able to use the locker when I'm in 4Lo.

    That's a good idea. TL3 will definitely be the one you want to use then. It's the only one I listed that will be ground exclusively when in 4lo and no signal when in 2hi and 4hi.
