Definitely the best engine and trans combo Chevy has done. The 700r4 and 4l60e just aren't as good as that 400

 

Yes! Too many hard plastics and rough feeling switches. AND why in the hell does GM insist on offsetting every steering wheel to the right? Sucks for a guy like me that likes to drive left handed and rest his arm on the door.

GM was "OK" up until about 2000. Seems like they just want to be bland now. Kind of like Toyota but without the reliability. Lol

 

An old man up the road from me has one just like it in his garage. He asked me to look at it because it wouldn't start. I found out the battery was dead but I also found out he's the original owner and it only has 26k on it!
I offered him up to $8000 for it but he shot me down.

 

Damn. Well keep an eye out for a hearse in the driveway.

My buddy got a brand new 16 high country duramax. Not not bad by any means. But I prefer the Platinum without a doubt.
