Regretting this for my wife as she has been training for her first 5k tomorrow morning. I'm so proud of her nobody believes she's doing it with her astma she has never been athletic. She's lost 20 pounds+ and been running. I thought she looked gret to begin with but she's very happy now kodos to her for all the effort.

We have or had a shop here that I believe carries them. Too rich for my blood. You take them back once a year and they are sent back to Japan to be resharpened and they give you a loaner while it's gone.

Yeah they are pricey but I am really tired of my Chicago cutlery ones they are a carbon steel blade so they can be made razor sharp but it doesn't take much to take that edge right off and you start over. I really only use a few knives in the kitchen if I like the Santoku as pictured below for food prep I might get a few others over time . If I think about it I will take pictures of Dads from his days in the meat market before he moved on to being a cop. Some of those are damn near short swords and razor sharp to this day.

Be prepared to take care of her after the run. Appears you have been blessed with a good woman!

Got to the Cape in one piece. Seeing how I was within 150 feet of the dock, I had fried oysters for lunch...

    This should be fun ...

Rascal my oldest Cat has a appt with the veterinarian at 1400 hrs . Trying to convince a 6lbs cat into a cat carrier is no easy chore

I placed the carrier on the living room floor last night with the door open and sprayed catnip inside . Rascal has been in/out of the carrier many times today even slept in it. . I know the moment I try and pick her up all of her all of her razor sharp claws will be flailing against my skin inducing a lot of open wounds LOL !!!

I've got 15 min to plan my move and hopefully all goes well
