I totally agree that rust will always win, but I'd also argue there are better ways to slow it down than a sprinkler and can of WD40.

Slapped some paint on the rails this morning. It's a brushed-on oil-based Rustoleum. Goes on really thick. We'll see how long it lasts.

Don't sell, Aaron! You don't want to be stuck with a tuuuuuuuuurd gen. I hear crawl control is completely worthless.

Turns out my dash cam issues weren't my fault. After re-tapping the fuse 3 times I finally gave up and just bought a new wiring kit from the DashCam Store. It's more expensive, but made in the USA, a lot nicer, and the cam has been working non-stop for a couple days now.

    I'm ready!!

Alrighty, who booked all the "E" campsites at Sherwood over the Open House weekend?

If it was someone on here, i'd love to split a site Friday the 19th. I should have the RTT on by then.

Anybody want any brand new bed rails for a short bed? I don't have the plastic end caps, but I'll throw in a couple of the cargo cleats.

https://youtu.be/MWGhmWfcO-0. While I don't usually watch anything Jeep I am so jealous of what they have available for aftermarket parts this shit is so meaty. I can't even begin to imagine how much they cost or what this guy has into his driveline.

Just wanted to say hello. I've been lurking on TW for the past 8 weeks while looking for my first taco. Had it 3 weeks now and love it. I'm typically in the burnsville and bloomington area and always on the lookout for other Tacomas.

Also, really appreciating the rust discussion. I ordered some fluid film on Amazon but does anyone know where to get it locally?

welcome, I live and work in the burnsville bloomington area too. I got a '17 trd off road quicksand with A.R.E. topper.

just found out this weekend some asshole hit and ran my rear bumper. Was just a scrape, didn't bend/crack/dent the bumper at all and it was just the corner. still pretty pissed though. Checked my dashcam and I didn't have it on video because it was pretty minor and I never noticed it until this weekend so it could have happened over a week ago. It's gonna make me more paranoid than I already am checking for dents and scratches haha.

Welcome! I found out the other day you can get FF at Napa. I'm pretty sure they stock it, if not they'll get it for you.

My Tacoma was in Mankato for a week back in December. It will be back when that border to border OHV trail is open.

Welcome! Amazon is usually pretty cheap. We just started selling out at the bus dealer. I can see how much.

Welcome, Mike. I'm not too far from you. I'm in Coon Rapids. About a mile south of Bunker. Trying to make it work to go this weekend but not sure yet.
