The tranny cross member is the same between transmissions. The actual rubber Tranny mount is dependent upon transmissions.

I'm perry sure the ears on the mount have 1 bent on 1 side for manual tranny and straight for an auto

However they are interchangeable since the mounting bolts are in the same position

Help me out i have just repaired almost everything on this truck for the owner and found this mess. he wants to burn it i said nooo i will part it out first ... he would really like to save it im ok with a full frame replacement but it really only has 12 in of rot. and the leaf spring mount will probably need replaced.

I'd be looking really close for more rust. A lot of it can hide under paint.

If you're willing to come pick it up in Northern California there is a guy selling the remains of a '98 Extended Cab for $500. I bought some parts off him. It's a hell of a deal plus it comes with 75% of the body, and most of the interior. The only thing missing is the drive train and engine. Axles are still intact so you can use a tow dolly, it also has a rear locker. (I took the camper shell, doors, some of the door wiring, and the rear seat belt + spare tire tools)

If you're interested let me know, I think I still have his number.

I would have taken the whole damn truck if my HOA weren't a bunch of pansies and don't allow "non-operable vehicles to be parked in driveways", haha.

The camper shell is really really beat up. Two windows are busted out and it needs fiberglass bodywork and new paint. It's like it blew off the truck on the freeway and dragged across the pavement. But hey, it was $50.

OH AND A BONUS: The bed is full of crap. And the interior. I had to remove like 2 fake Christmas trees and a bag of ornaments from the cab to get the rear seatbelt. On the plus side, the bed is full of old broken Volkswagen air intakes and radiators. I swear there was half of a Passat in the bed of that truck.

My neighbor got a write-up for having an old Pathfinder parked with flat tires in his driveway... meanwhile a block over there's a $100,000 Mercedes-Benz S600 V12 parked in this dude's house that hasn't been registered since 2010 according to the plate. You can see moss growing under the tires. The windows are so dusty you can't see inside. It's been sitting there so long the tires have somehow melted to the concrete. Somehow if it's a nice sports car the HOA doesn't care.

Apparently it's some rapper's vacation house, I never see anyone go inside the house. One day I see a woman go inside and ask her if she would sell me the Benz. She's like "no sorry". Oh well, I had to ask...

In my experience it can be from the low $1,000's to the mid $2,000's. A truck might cost more than a sedan though.
