Yep. Including my 06 Tacoma 4x4 sport access cab.

I also realize I am in the older age group for TW.

Toyota was great when the Japanese were building them.

I agree I think Toyota took a step back when they moved production locations!

I don't know. My 2014 Scion tC was built in Japan and had lots of rattles and engine idol rough. Rev really high on inclines and had a poor suspension.

It was fun to drive though because it was a six speed manual.

There are TSB updates for the shifting problems for the computer. I had the same issue and I told them that I was aware of the TSB computer Toyota released a few months ago and they double checked and said oh OK your right lol make sure you tell them your aware of it.

Tundra issues, box misalignment issues, rear bumper missalignments and front bumper misalignment. The assembly quality at America plants dies not compare to the Japanese plants.

Toyota pickups built 100% in Japan is all I've ever owned.Since then they've made them bigger, prettier to look at with more "High Tech"gadgets but gutted the build quality and core components along the way. It's been downhill as far a reliability since leaving Japan.

80% of Tacoma's will be made in Mexico by 2018.Japanese trucks built in Mexico need to stay in Mexico.

Exactly these trucks are made by robotic machines on an assembly line.

The Tacoma is a mass produced vehicle with 200,000+ units being built every year in these factories. Not every single one of them are going to be perfect and have zero issues. They are going to be quality control issues with some owners having these issues and some owners without them. That's just life.

If you want a perfect vehicle buy a $300k Rolls Royce that is hand built from the bottom up.

Damn, I bought the only 3rd gen without any issues. OP wasn't screwed by Toyota. OP was screwed by the dealer, and boy, was he. I admire his courage for giving us a detailed account of just how royally he was screwed. Had that been me, I would have taken all details of this transaction with me to my grave just to save some face. He was given literally every possible warning sign from a questionable test drive to horrible financing terms. It's hard for me to see OP as a victim here. I also suspect a troll job.

OP has been responsive and has provided pics from what I saw. This does not appear to be your typical hit and run troll job.
