I find it absolutely baffling that people who don't own a Toyota truck spend hours a day reading and posting on a forum about Toyota trucks. They have no skin in the game anymore, it's just weird, maybe a little sad.

 

I know. I used to be a member of RangerStation.com when I had my Mazda B4000 4x4. But that's because a Mazda B-series truck is exactly the same as a Ford Ranger series truck. Anyway, I'm not on that site anymore, because I now have a Tacoma.

After driving a TJ for 13 years, there is NOTHING I can bitch about! Wind noise pfft, no power hahahaa, breakdowns I am very good friends with two tow truck drivers, seriously.

 

I've owned my truck for a about a month now, currently has 1,100 and has been mechanically trouble-free thus far. I've been fortunate to not have experienced some of the issues I've read here that other owners are having, but thanks to their bringing the issues to the forum has giving me insight as to what to look for.

 

Surprised to see this thread back from the dead. Anyhow.....25k trouble free miles. Still loving this truck as much as I did the day I bought it. carry on folks!

 

I will speculate: because the threads are rather pointless and only serve to create more drama than to be productive?

 

I must agree that the posts of people's issues are informative in the sense that you know where you can check if some issues arise. But I'm also a happy owner with no issues thus far.

 

I only glanced at the first page of this thread, but all 3 negative comments were by fools who don't even own the damn truck.

 

Lol I've noticed all over the board most negative comments come from non owners

 

This site is for "Toyota enthusiasts" but being enthusiastic about our Toyota's is pointless? It's been said before but I will say it again....if a post bothers someone then just move along and don't reply. It's honest to god that simple.

 

I think people just get overly defensive and sensitive and it turns to meltdown mode.

10k no issues, had the Transmission Rev1 done and I like it. I have owned 20 plus cars in my life and ever time I had a car the forums were loaded with negative comments and "the sky is falling." attitude regarding every car.

 

Most people that consistently bitch on these boards do it because they have no friends because they got tired of listening to them bitch all the time! I bet some of these people are just a joy to be around!

Would not matter what kind of car they own they will find something to complain about because that is the type of person they have become!

Love the Tacoma and very happy I bought one!

 

Good post...let me ask you this, I seems as I have seen people say " this has been a common issue since Gen one " on a few occasions and.. Gen1 and Gen 2 have had their share of issues have they not? maybe some the same, maybe different but issues none the less.....but dispite all the issues the Tacoma still has a great reputation and great resale value....how is this possable

 

Did your Tacoma come with the ivory tower or did you have to buy that extra?

People have shit Tacomas. Its a fact. I think a lot of the fanboys on this forum like to dismiss them as whiners and bitches becuase it makes them feel better about their trucks, but the 3rd gen Tacoma was a swing and a miss for quite a few folks. They aren't perpetual complainers.

 

The PRO's come with gold plated towers!

Notice the ones that bitch and whine and it's the same quys every time about everything! They are just unhappy people in general and always will be! They bitch but choose to do nothing about it like selling it and getting something different! The bitching is part of their comfort zone!
