    Is Madison County in eastern Kentucky? I always thought it was central. It's just south of Lexington. I could be wrong though.

    It's Eastern Kentucky if you're from Western Kentucky or even Central Kentucky. Anything east of I 65 is eastern Kentucky to many folks...

    Some of my family traces it's roots back to Pikeville. THAT is Eastern Kentucky without any question.
