I need to get some bolt on sliders ASAP for an overland trip coming up the end of June. My truck is still stock height so I want some protection there.

Narrowed it down to RCI, SOS, C4, and Demello. All are in the same price ballpark. All have a lead time, but RCI might be the only one who could get a set here in time. I don't want to make the wrong choice because I'm in a hurry though.

Just out of those 4, how is installation, resistance to bending, and how much clearance is lost... if you happen to have experience with any of them?

    Thank you!

I'm a fan of RCI. They were easy to install and strong. Not sure if it was necessary but I did go ahead and drill additional holes into my frame and used the additional mounting points on the sliders for the extra strength. I've used them multiple times to lift one side of the truck off the ground.

I know it's not on your list but all pro is good too. They had mine in stock when I ordered them.

Sliders are a great project for your first tube bending project. A decent bender and 1 die, would cost a little more then a set of sliders shipped and powder coated. Add in all the beer you will get from your buddies wanting to borrow it and it's a win win.

LOL... your advice is sound, but I have a friend with a bender and experience building sliders. Only I don't want weld on sliders, and we don't have the engineering expertise to make a reliable bolt on system.

Just looked at them after your post. Do they angle up or are they straight out from the rocker? Thanks.

I don't have a pic on my phone but look for my build thread. It has my user name in the title.

They angle up slightly and I think they are the highest mounted ones available. Not by much though. Less than 1/2".

I have @C4 Fabrication sliders. They're bolt on but I had mine welded on. I love the look of them. And they have taken some good beatings.
Check my build thread for pics

All kidding aside I think all the brands you narrowed it down to are good quality brands. image.jpg image.jpg

For what it's worth, I bought a set of sliders from Stubbs Welding. They are great.
After sitting in my garage for a couple of months after painting them, I went to our local exhaust guy in town and he welded them on for me for $65. I figured he welds all the time and the price was right. His welds are beautiful and for that price, I'd forgo the bolt on option. Just a thought.

I have perused your website a lot about these in the last days. I like them a lot no doubt. The lead time hurts and I'm not sure who is the closest shipping terminal you would ship to in Chattanooga TN.

It is cool that you are active on the forum though! When I'm ready for plates and bumpers and not in a hurry I will for sure look your way.

You find the right guy trying to avoid his wife :angrygirl:in a garage and it may just cost materials to have him build you a set. :welder:

I really like my SOS. They are very well built and seem strong enough imo.

Yeah mine are hrew. I think dom was an extra $120 on top of the $400 for the sliders with the kickout. I didnt need it at all so i skipped the option.
