Here is some Texas BS. Texas Auto South Dealership Webster Texas
Worst experience I have ever had in buying a used Vehicle
    The Breakdown
March 29 my 2009 Tacoma Burned to the ground during a lightning storm in Cameron LA. Who Knows how or why, but I Digress. Found a 2015 Access cab on said Dealerships website, listed at $29989, called them up talked to Salesman "MM" offered 28989, offer accepted with the Caveat that I deposit $500 to hold for me until I get off work, (I work Offshore) so 3 weeks hold time. Two days later I requested a Buyers order or Purchase agreement, received agreement via Email, now it has a $299 charge for "Security glass Etching". Called salesman inquired about charge and was told "We do that to all of our Vehicles as soon as they hit the Lot". Informed said Salesman I wasn't paying that BULLSHIT markup, and that they should have brought that up when agreeing on the price. Was then given the run around for a week about our agreement, talked with Sales Manager "KC" explained my problem with BULLSHIT charge and he offered to drop price of Vehicle by $299 dollars, I agreed to the solution. Then requested Routing Number and account number for wire transfer for closing of the Deal when I got off work and arrived at the Dealership. It took many request to acquire this info but received it five days later. Two days before I got off work April 22 I received a phone call from "F" and was told Vehicle is no longer available but the have a really nice 2015 Quad cab they could let me have for such and such price. Told "F" to F*** off and die and refund my money. It took many phone calls and Threats to get my money refunded, took until May 4 to get money refunded. These guys sold this vehicle and will not admit it. Would not recommend them to ISIS or Al Queda, they SUCK3a4d24a064007dea08ef2d302d.jpg Vehicle I put Money on What I ended up with. You ended up with a better vehicle, not sure on TX law, but in CA you can sue them for that. If they took deposit gave you receipt with VIN and date they will hod it for, they are considered to be selling a vehicle they don't actually own. CA dealer did the exact thing to a friend of mine, he walked away with another one exactly the same a few weeks later at a huge discout, something like 10k

Had something similar happen to a coworker. They took his deposit on a Tundra but sold it to someone else. He wound up with a Tundra for 18k, which was the dealer's actual cost on the 35k truck. He traded it in to carmax 5 years later for 16k

The top picture reeks of Agnes Moorehead and the bottom picture eerily equates to Barbara Eden.
Ponder that one for a while.

What did you end up paying for the better truck? Did you but it from that screwed up dealer or go to a different dealer? Either way, you'll love your new truck! Don't ponder on the previous mess, look forward to all the fun you're going to have in your new truck.

In my experience, most businesses can't be trusted to "hold onto a deal". If you want it, then you need the money then, and you do the deal that day. Cut and dry.

Sad to say but we don't live in a world where a man's word counts for anything. Everything in life is going to rip you off if you don't go into it wisely.

Did you check the rear diff? Run the VIN for recall? Curious if they addressed before selling you the vehicle.
