Rock Slider Quest

I live in TN. Not sure if that is really close to any of the fab shops.

 

Which ones did they have in stock? double cab short bed? Apex or HD? Just curious.

 

We are closer than almost all of them. Shipping to TN isn't bad at all from us.

 

I am very happy with my all-pro apex sliders. Good price with free shipping, and the lead time was only about two weeks. The apex sliders are 1.75 x .125 dom tubing.

 

Yes. I read that. My use and need now, at 7000 miles will be different than my use at 40,000 miles. And that will be different from my use after it's paid off. So bolt on now... drilling later... welding eventually. I plan on using this truck for light offroading now, and will hopefully still be driving it offroad when it's so beat up that it looks like a raisin.

 

Mmmmmmm, trail raisins.

 

We just installed the White Knuckle Off Road DOM sliders on our tacoma and they are pretty sweet. Does require drilling though...

 

Are those AllPros in the video? That is interesting, but doesn't really take into account how well they were mounted whichever brand they are. More than 1 brand says 100% bolt on "or" drilling required for heavier duty applications.

Just 2 things to consider about AllPro:

 

We offset our gussets to the side of the square tube, basically over the vertical wall of the tube, much stronger than the center. Your demo hit the nail on the head.

 

I forgot to mention, our lead times are under control again. Currently at 4 weeks.

Ok.. you are in my time frame now. Not sure how close you are to the sending part of the business, but if you can tell me or PM me the shipping company you would use to get a set as close to 37351 as possible.... it may change the dynamic of my search.

 

I have had RCI sliders basically since 3rd gens came out and have beaten them pretty badly and really like them, but after reading this I am getting very interested in getting some mobtown...

 

Wow. Very unexpected. I didn't look at cbi sliders, but I have their front bumper and it's built very well. Wonder what happened here, design, installation, something else? So many questions

 

Wow, lots of flex there. Wonder what's giving, the slider or the frame?
