it is far safer to be seated in the drivers seat while winching than standing outside the truck. not only does it give you a bit of a safety barrier having the truck between you and the outside but it also puts you in place to have full control over the truck as well....

he has nice pre made panels for it but they really dont "flow" with our interiors.. thats why i choose to make my own setup.. basically i have a SPST on/off switch that controls the power, then a DPDT momentary that does the in/out function... they look clean and match with everthing else....

true, they dont flow as well as they do with the pre-taco's. Luni has one controlling his winch, mounted driver side of the cup holder. Which would make a diff. for you being manual. Krookz have an auto trans?

those are the switches i have.. ordered them from www.otrattw.com great guy to deal with....

i've got my power switch in the overhead console and then the in/out switch is next to my cupholder.. this keeps it within easy reach of the shifter

4runner just makes more sense for me. i never haul anything in the back of my truck so its like wasted space. really sucks when we pack up as a family and have nowhere but the back of the truck in the weather to put our bags.
