    OK, about to do this and have hit a snag. Looking to eliminate my spacers so I am looking at wheels with more neg offset/less BS.
    $121 Pro Comp Steel Wheels Series 97 Wheel with Gloss Black Finish (17x9"/6x5.5") (PCW97-7983S3.5)
    FOUND THESES ProComp 97 Series and almost ordered but description says they are cast steel. Don't think I can MIG that the Yard, or is that what people do??

    Mig should be fine. Cast steel is not the same as cast iron where cast iron can easily crack if not preheated, cooled and not over heated correctly. I'd still pre heat it and let it air cool and i bet the correct stick weld would be better but there should be no problem.

    I'm still looking. Trying to find a welded stamped/forged wheel in my specs 17x9 3.25 - 3.5 BS so I can just DYF it without trying hard.
    #notawelder I've tried to take a cast to steel weld at work and it was brittle and cracked.

    Back when we were still farming, many of the wear parts on our tillage equipment were cast steel. It could be welded without a terrific amount of trouble. Dad did most of the welding, and he would "hard face" some of the cast steel parts with a stick welder. I won't be the one that can tell you how, but I know it can be done.
