I am beyond excited about finally having a garage, especially one that I can easily fit my DCLB in. I've pretty much just thrown everything into it so far. Not much organization yet, but you get the idea.

Today I did tear down some rafters that they had hanging awfully low and I redid all the lighting (or lack of lighting). Added five can lights with 65W LED bulbs and re-purposed two small florescent shop lights and a big old barn light. One switch for the five can lights, another for the bench lights.

Also threw an Onkyo receiver, bluetooth adapter, and two big old Onkyo speakers out there.

Ok I had the exhaust, short throw shift kit, and roof rack. But I really thought it was going to only be a motorcycle hauler

I guess I'll add my second favorite part of the house. The property goes back to a river. 20170504_104919.jpg

Morning all. Happy Sunday to everybody! Having 2 small kids means no sleeping in for this guy. I've been up for an hour already :bored:

Looks great. You might want to have one more piece put on that tire carrier to make a triangle. It will help hold those jerry cans from bouncing at the end of your swing out
Congratulations! Can fit a DCLB ha? What town are you in? Lol

    Morning!

    Question for you guys.

Would it be a bad idea to buy "new" take off parts from an 04 TJ? My lady's jeep needs new suspension all around and I saw these on CL
    https://providence.craigslist.org/pts/6084622918.html

Assuming they are like new with only a few miles on them, are they still going to be worth installing? Or will age effect these? Most of the other take off's I see are all beat with 180k on them. We could get some cheap shocks and some MOOG coils for a bit over $200, but I assume these will be much better quality.

I would think that is a good deal for a almost brandy new suspension. As long as its the correct set for your Heep

For $200 I'd say worth the gamble. They look clean.

Good morning, the "re-route AC" caught my eye. That's one I haven't come across yet. ( I know, seems like I only pop in once in a while. I'm always lurking though :spy: ). What's that all about?

Wow, that stuff looks extremely clean. I'd def do it for $200. Sometimes we buy new stock that could've been sitting on the shelf for just as long. That stuff looks like it came off in the first few thousand miles

Lots of houses have tiny garages for some reason--especially anything that wasn't built within the last 30 years. This one is 24x24. If I center the truck front to back, I have plenty of room to walk around it. I don't think it was original to the house.

I think the garage will be nice in the summer. The river behind the house seems to create a constant breeze, so if I open both the front and back door it blows right through.

    I'm in Clarksburg.

That's awesome, especially the breeze part. But especially the garage part haha

I've been house shopping and I can't believe all the garages I look at are too short to fit the truck (height wise)

I think the ceilings in this one are about 8 ft. Not nearly enough to install a lift, but enough to put the truck on jack stands without worrying about hitting the roof.

The tracks for the back door hang down a little low, but I can park to avoid them should I need to jack up the truck.

FJ doesn't fit in my garage height wise. Width wise I could just barely got but couldn't open the doors..

Wife's t4r rewound just squeeze in, but again might not be able to get out....

So it just gets used for junk, storage, etc..
