Growing up my best friend's father had one of these rotting into the ground in his driveway. 400 / auto, silver, Rally wheels, no bird. It was a shame. Supposedly it just needed intake manifold gaskets and it would run, but it was left to sit and rot for too long. Ultimately it just went to the junkyard. What a shame.

I love the 99-00 EK Civics. Honda really got their design right. My above mentioned best friend's wife had a 97 EX with a bunch of mods (Tein basic, fat five GSR wheels, 99-99 tails, an engine bay that was basically surgically clean, not tucked, but every bolt polished and powder coated, etc, etc) that was beautiful. I still think the 99-00 Si was probably the high point of the Civic series.

B series in a mini is a fantasyic swap!

 

Car is a 1969 Maserati Mexico that last ran in 1992. I have been working on it for 2 years; removed all the undercoating from the underbody, engine compartment, trunk and interior and painted with POR-15. Put Lizard Skin sound damping mats on all interior surfaces. Rebuilt the suspension, complete braking system, and steering. Put new seals in the rear axle. Rebuilt the fuel system including having the fuel tanks boiled out and internally coated, rebuilt the 4 Weber carburetors, new fuel pumps, new hoses and lines. Had radiator re-cored and I rebuilt the water pump. Sent the wheels out to be rebuilt (they ended up going back to the Borrani factory in Italy and took 11 months, but cost was only about 1/3 that of new wheels). Car is on the ground for the first time in nearly a year. Bought a new stainless exhaust system and spent two weeks modifying it so it would fit. Had transmission rebuilt; needed second gear assembly; not available new but I found a good used 2nd gear on E-bay in The Netherlands. Engine is out for rebuilding, expect it back soon. Body had extensive rust and I replaced all the bad areas with new metal. Luckily the wheel openings had stainless trim pieces that defined the contours needed to shape the repair pieces. Still needs finish body work and painting. I checked out the electrical system and just about everything seems to be working. All the trim is off the car and some parts are out for plating, but most is stainless steel so not too much needs to be done. The interior is mostly leather with some wood trim, and was in surprisingly good condition. I reconditioned the leather and redyed it; looks new but the new leather smell is long gone. I took out the dashboard and had it refinished; rest of the wood is good. Still need a new headliner and some carpet pieces. Might be able to test drive it this summer; then need to find a body shop for painting.
