new daily / commuter car I picked up from my sister:

1996 Mazda Miata w/ 87k original miles on it, new top, great interior.... needs some TLC since it's been sitting for a couple years, but overall, it'll be a great little project / fixer upper to run around in....

Just got through doing a full front end rebuild (new uca's, lca's, struts, coils, inner and outer tie rods, plus new steering rack) plus full engine rebuild. Have fun.

commuter car bro... and i'll be sitting in traffic haha

but I'm thinking a full tune up, some LED headlights (since the stockers suck) a radio, and a solid detail / washing... and it'll be good to go!

I miss commuting in manual. So much workout

Also, how did you pick that up if you're in the runner?

on a miata? Pain in the ass i'm guessing? I dont know if it needs suspension... but I'll just toss some full coilovers on it if it does.

and yea, it's gonna definitely need a full tune up... but I dont anticipate anything too terrible.

I'm not bringing it home yet... I bought it from my sister... I'm going to wait until I move from Ashburn to the new house in a month where I can pull it in the garage and tinker with it.... but I have the title! :D

Yep on a miata. Extremely easy. Any car that I can almost bench press one side is fun to work on. This one had over 260k on the clock, so very few places didn't leak oil. Plus it burned oil as fast as it did gas. Ran like a top and handled like a go kart after I got done.

Nice! that's always good to hear!

this car (if you look at the plates) has sat for about 3 years... so I'm guessing all new gas, new plugs, wires, air filter, etc... but you never know haha

What's wrong w/ manual commuter car!?
My jetta was manual, my truck is manual, if it comes time I need another commuter car, manual is the only option. I want to optimize the chance for fun.
Has anyone driven an older manual w/o power steering? Thags a workout.
