They don't grow apples in Florida? Must be a neighbor somewhere you can go cut their tree down while they're sleeping.

Well last night was a blast. Tired AF this morning. :D
The renewal was held at the clubhouse of the apartments my dad works at as a maintenance man, and it was pretty nice.
Given that I was in the ceremony itself as the best man, I don't have any actual pictures of the ceremony, just before and after. But it was great. Iva, my big sister, gave a speech, and I did mine. They loved it, @batshitcrazy, thanks for your help! Of course Mom had tears, but I was surprised to see Dad did too. :D
We all secretly pitched in and got them a hotel for the rest of the weekend. They were thrilled.

I've already been asked what I wore, I had to wear a stupid monkey suit. Never again, sirs. They didn't notice I kept my hat on the whole time, tho. :D

So yeah, it was a blast. I'm proud of everything my parents have accomplished together. They really deserved last night.

    Define "super illegal"
    Yes it's still illegal.
The DA and Sheriff of Harris County (Houston area) aren't prosecuting for small amounts, but the state and city laws don't reflect their beliefs. Luckily they were both voted in recently so we'll see how things go from here.

Well like out here they stopped ticketing people for smoking in public long before they made it legal.

Even 13 years ago my buddy got caught with a pound on him and all they did was confiscate his stash and made him do community service. The only time you'd get fucked is for distributing, like getting caught with a scale and baggies. Now you can just apply fora business license for it.

Like will they arrest you for having stuff on you or do they simply frown upon it is what I'm asking.

They'll still ticket you, you just won't go to jail.

But that's only the case in Harris County and I've heard but cannot confirm that Austin is the same way... @ChadsPride

See that's the thing, it makes no sense. I've never known a pot smoker that breaks into your house to steal shit to get high. It's a harmless drug imho.

You can still get the giant resealable cans around here, but the even bigger ones disappeared a couple years back. Gave me the sad.

Weed is still illegal here, though the cops usually won't bother with a small amount unless you're being a pain in the ass to them. I don't smoke pot, never have, probably never will, but I have no problem with it.
