It's a great day today, that's for sure. So are there any 'must try' beers that a new transplant to Texas should pick up?

Nice and crisp despite being only lightly carbonated. Plenty of flavor without being complex. Going down real nice on a warm day. And it doesn't come across as being 7.7%.

So many breweries in this state. What city are you closest to? You're probably not far from a brewery tap room. DFW and anywhere from the Hill Country to Houston there's quite a few. If you have a Kroger out your way look for one of their upscale stores. They're usually are well stocked with local varieties.

I'm in the SA area, so Real Ale is nearby. You're right, there are a lot of breweries out here. I just pick stuff at random that I haven't tried before.

Not too far up I-10 there's the Random Beer Garden. Never been there myself but @Kolunatic speaks well of it. Many to choose from.

I was good. Not great, imo. There was a weird after-aftertaste. Once the coffee taste settled there was something else there.

    That looks tasty. :D
That is hard to come by.....hmmmm:spy:

Super hazy and juicy and delicious. East coast hops are so damn good. He usually sends me a few cans every few months.

I can tell you from experience, the wood doesn't get any heat in that scenario. Also, Fermcap-S works great to ensure no boilovers.
