    I got my valve cover gasket all buttoned up today. fingers crossed for tight seals :fingerscrossed:

    First time i've opened up an engine at all, so my buddy and I had a good time busting our cherries. Pretty smooth process TBH.

    Welded rear shock mounts. Wanted to know how high I needed to crank the welder to burn those bitches in with no worries of breakage. Got a pretty good bead on them and the axle so I think it worked. Thanks for your response :thumbsup:

    I set up a new cb for a buddy and then I went to retest my swr afterward and it was too high for my liking so I thought I'd make a couple ground straps but that didn't help. Played with the mount a bit and the connector sheered off. So I got pissed and ripped the antenna off and pulled the whole cable out from the cab. So now I'm going to mount it off my ditch bracket and use a 2ft antenna. After I buy new gear.

    FWIW I had a 2 foot on my ditch light bracket and could not get it to tune for shit. Ground strap and all. Switched to a 3 foot and I have a nearly a perfect set with low end at almost 1.5 and top end at like 1.6 or 1.7.
