I thought college would be somewhat easier, HS was a complete waste of time for me, except for maybe one or two classes. College is way more time consuming. Besides actual classes I've had the hardest time transferring credits around too.

I hate high school to the point where I can't stand the idea of college. Military seems more interesting to me.

The bad thing is I still have a 6 month wait from graduation until the military since I won't be 18 yet

I'm still deciding myself, don't know if I want to go AF or stay on my path of transferring colleges. I know it's cheesy and stupid, but at this point it's all dependent on one girl :(

I tried to get a job at a rafting place, but I didn't get picked.. I live in a horrible place, the only other place to work would be tacobell. I don't want to drive 50mi a day for that though

In college you learn the majority of the material outside of class. I have 17 credit hours next semester of mostly senior level engineering courses so it's about to be real fun.

I really don't know what my worst class will be. It's probably between numerical analysis where I'll be using MATLAB to probably code for solving some differential equations, or sensors/measurements/controls which is an electrical engineering course

Getting hired in highscool is tough, especially when the job your applying for to get experience requires experience lol.

To make it worse there's only like 5 places I could work, since I live in a mountain area. If a job comes up it goes fast since everyone from my school wants one.

I know exactly how you feel. Ever since I turned working age, I've lived in extremely small towns with no job opportunities.

I sought the military as it could get me a good job and it could take me away from where I lived. A month before I graduated HS, I got an autoimmune disease that disqualified me from enlisting.

Didn't really have a plan B, and I've been looking for jobs for about a year now. With only seasonal jobs around here, it sucked. I finally got a job at an Amazon factory but it's 106 miles away, which makes a 212 mile commute for 4 days a week. We'll see how it goes, I start on the 14th. I just need to work for a while to save up and move and finally start college.

Good luck for you in the military.

I'm hoping that's a joke lol She's not non existent, she's indecisive at this point which is even more depressing. What makes it worse is my what was best friend at the time decided to override my entire promposal set up and ask her to prom instead in front of me. Then they dated on and off again, and now she has realized he's a sex freak and didn't really want anything to do with her personally. This is all after everyone told her don't date him and date me instead but she didn't listen and now she regrets it but we still hold a sort of close friendship that I'm always hoping will go farther. And there's my life story lol I know, sometimes I say too much

Sorry about not being able to enlist. A similar thing happened to one of my best friends. He has a condition that affects his breathing. His doc told him he would be able to enlist but just a couple months ago they told him his condition didnt allow.

I had a seasonal job last summer.. It sucked..
I can't imagine a 212 mile commute, I'd have to live behind the factory in my truck if it came down to that. Hope it goes well

My brother went through a similar thing with no being able to enlist. He got acid reflex junior year and the army didn't want him anymore. The part that really messed him up was the kid he had coming. As soon as he graduated he went straight to work, no fun at all

I cannot imagine driving that far to work, but working in the Amazon factory does sound dope.

Furtherest commute I had was around 30 miles one way.

I understand that. Went through similar, but about a year ago I just said "fuck it.." Haven't talked to the girl since, or tried with any others. Too much work.

It is a little sad though. She's on guy 4 now, They have all cheated on her. Her fault for trusting them though (never trust a S10 driver)
