1 inch block equivalent to?

Yes I am. 2 1/4 is the total lift after the AAL. AAL was already on the truck for a month before the block.

 

Do you have a pic of the actual block installed on the truck? Just to be clear, you're saying the block alone gave you 2 1/4" of lift? So you should have 3+" of lift over the stock measurement if you include the AAL.

 

From what I'm reading from you, you're saying you have an AAL and a block now. The AAL must provide 1" of lift while the block provides another 1", that extra 1/4in comes from the actual thickness of the AAL being added to the leaf pack. Right?

 

Yes block alone gave me 2 1/4 of lift and yes, I got 3+ including the AAL. I can snap a pix now but it might be a little dark...

OP, you had 1 1/2" lift from the AAL, added a 1" block, and now have 2 1/2". You fucked up your measurements before/after adding the AAL.

No, Sorry for the confusion. Initial lift with AAL, I got about a inch of lift which the rear was sagging about 1/2 lower than the front. Now that I had added the block it sits 2 1/4 higher than the front. Hope this cleared it up.

 

So I don't understand what the confusion is? You are too high, either scrap both the AAL and the block and go with a 2" AAL or go with a 2" block. Simple, right?

 

Post your fender to center of hub measurements to compare with stock height trucks and other lifts. That's the most reliable way to measure ride height when doing suspension changes.

 

I believe I didn't! I'm not calculating the first initial lift with AAL. I'm just calculating the block after lift and It adds an addition 2 1/4 of lift

 

What do you have installed up front? Usually from the factory your rear will be about 1.5-2 inches higher

 

Take a picture of everything in the morning. And @bullaculla is correct. How are you doing your measurements? You need to be measuring from the center of the hubs.

A 1" block raises the leaf springs by 1". The springs' stiffness is not changed. You got 1" of lift after adding the block. No more, no less.

Your measurements were messed up somewhere during the process.

 

5100 with ome 2888. Indeed my rear was about 1.5 higher with stock suspension. After the 5100 and AAL lift and after everything was settle, I was sitting .5 lower at the rear which lead me to add the 1 inch block.

 

If you're insisting that a 1" block added 2 1/4" of lift, one of 2 things has happened. 1- incorrect install. 2- incorrect measuring. That's it. Need pics of installed block.

 

Your initial measurements are surely wrong, adding the 1 inch will only give you 1 inch, the add a leaf likely gave you more than 1 inch which is normal

 

Yes it was measured at center hub to fender. That is why I notice that I was 2 1/4 higher after the block lift.

 

I don't think an incorrect install of a 1" block would result in that much more of a lift. My 1" Readylift blocks can be placed in either way, so I'm curious as to where these numbers are coming from.

 

I'd take them back out then and remeasure.
