Depends on how much you power you need. I have both and can do most of my work with the Air. The Air is great if you have to carry it all the time. I have a slightly older Pro that I would be willing to sell.

Yeah I don't have to carry it much anymore. Just need something new. I have a 5 year old pro right now that's at the end of its life. So just gonna buy something new and it will last me a while again. Thanks though!

The new ones are pretty slick with the touch bar. Also a bit smaller and lighter which is nice. Only thing that sucks is the lack of ports on them. Plus we had to get adapters for the monitors the old Macbook Pros used.

Get a pro. Don't bother with the processing power of an air. Are you running Revit or Solidworks now a days?

if thats all its for get an air. I have a new pro but its a work unit. Thats the only way I could justify the extra cost and power needed

Air all the way then. The pro is cool, but definitely WAY overkill for what you are going to use it for.

We shall see. Not sure if I can justify the extra $600 for something I will probably never notice or use. Going to the Apple Store tonight so hopefully I come home with something.

Air is light and great for portability. Pro is more powerful.

If it's just for browsing the internet and looking at porn air is great. If you want to video edit or something that uses a lot of power the pro will be better.

Check the apple store's refurbished page. You can easily save the $600 getting one. Comes with the same warranty and can add AppleCare for the extra warranty.

Alos, check if your company counts towards the business discount. Student ID (even an old one)? Family member or friend with a student ID? Might want to wait until July when the back to school promos start.

I second the ipad suggestion, or at least the MacBook air... save the extra money for Tacoma mods or something. :p

Terrible buzzkill this morning... got a reminder that it's my late friend and riding buddy's bday today, he would have been 37. He killed himself almost 7 years ago now.
Some days that shit just hits you like a ton of bricks, man.
