Who has used EBC brakes with the yellow stuff pads?

I went ahead and bought some. As I opened the pads I noticed it came with piston cushions.

It states in the directions that I do not need to grease the backs of the pads. It doesn't have the traditional shims in the back.

I would appreciate the feed back thanks.IMG_0230.jpgIMG_0229.jpg

Im currently piecing together a new 4Runner brake setup for my 2nd gen Tacoma. Im thinking of going EBC pads as well, supposedly they're are amazing. Ive never seen "piston cushions" before

I have the green stuff on mine. You do not have to grease them. Just pop them in and you're good. Make sure you release the brake fluid as much as you can in the caliper to put the new pads in. I didn't on one caliper and got so frustrated I took the whole damn caliper off.

Thanks bud, I wanted to make sure I didn't have to before doing the job. Did you use your old pads and a flat head to push the pistons back in?

Run to Harbor Freight or Tractor Supply and buy some 4" C Clamps. Use that and your old pad to press in the pistons, don't forget to crack open your master cylinder lid too
