Longer than 9 pages of a forum?

    From his website.

"How do I cancel the control if I want to drive with the OEM manual sequential-shift mode?Simply make an S+ or S- shift by hand. At this point, the system cancels, provides an alarm, and reverts back to manual control. The device will stand-by and remain inactive until it is intentionally re-engaged by the operator (moving the lever into drive, and back to Sequential "S")."

I was just playing around with s mode today and every time you manually shift up or down in s mode it takes up the whole screen in the gauge cluster for a few seconds.

Good observation. Wonder if this bypasses that function somehow or if that screen can be turned off?

Awesome work OP, I read your original thread yesterday.

This is great for people not wanting to flash the TCM when the tunes become available, and having warranty issues.

Woah woah woah...hold on a second. Are you suggesting we should look at the provided resources and do a little reading so we can answer the question ourselves instead of just lazily asking the question expecting an answer in an unrealistic time-frame?

Awesome, looks easy to install. Feels like it would be possible to mount the whole thing in/under the center console possibly. Im thinking there could be space towards the front part of the center console under the dash. Order placed so when it arrives, ill share how i installed it

Tucking it away under the console is what I'm thinking, too. And I'd mount it on industrial-strength velcro, not the 3M tape, so that it's easy to remove for dealership visits.

I was thinking as long as you could reach the button, it could be disabled and the OBD port disconnected and hidden under the dash

Hold on one second here....if this is possible, is there a way to use this type of product to make S mode a "Manual/Paddle shifter" mode. Whereas the transmission does not shift until it is moved up or down a gear. AKA S5 now means the transmission is ONLY in 5th gear until you shift it to S4 or S6?

I'm one of the few that would bust the center console either by removing it or reinstalling. I think its worth the try though.

If you have it in s5, it can still go into a lower gear, just not higher,
the S settings puts a limit on the highest gear used.

If you put it in S1, it won't come out until you upshift. You can shift as necessary from that point.

I wish it would do that!

Sometimes I just need a couple mph increase that I could easily do in the gear I'm in but instead it downshifts to 5k.

My truck periodically downshifts hard coming to a stop. Given what you said, will this help with the hard downshifts? (And for all of the people that'll jump on this saying get your tranny fluid checked - I've had the dealer and my old transmission shop manually check it.)

No, all this product does is use S mode for you. It doesn't expand its abilities. This product brings nothing to the table other than automating what S mode allows you to do on your own right now. It's not a half bad hack but it's certainly not the right way to set shift points for the transmission. Especially considering S mode is not "select a gear" in the first place.
