Save the notes they left for a rainy day. Edit: and I wouldn't say a word to them. Edit, again: and start a file with the Po Po, asap. Do NOT confront them

Must be bad neighbor time, my neighbor threatened to shoot my dog on Friday because she was "standing on the fence and barking" given the chain link fence was in shambles. So the chain link fence is technically a border fence straddling our property lines so I built this yesterday in 6 hours about a foot more on our property and left them the ugly side to look at and the existing piece of shit chain link.. don't threaten dogs please...

I really wouldn't care. The only thing that makes me nervous is if they retaliated by doing anything to my truck.

I wouldn't say or do anything. You can make life harder for your girlfriends parents.

Talk to whoever is leaving the notes. Even bring a bottle of wine as a gift. Explain your situation and ask if they have recommendations as to where you can park to have a minimum impact on neighborhood traffic.
I've found that people who are abrasive/aggressive while writing notes (or comments online) become as docile as baby kittens when approached in person.

Don't know if I would go as far as a gift off the bat as I don't like to give the impression that I can subdued due to some form of intimidation from anyone. With that being said, a strong voice to compromise for a better outcome can generally lead to a more understanding solution. Doesn't always work though, which might lead to the secret admirer's true intentions.

Again, say nothing and start a file with the Po Po asap; you want to be the plaintiff NOT the defendant if this situation goes south

I don't know if that would be my first action. I know that this could be a true method, but this could up the game for everyone afterwards.

Why would you want either? Stupid situation to turn into a lawsuit either way.

It's not illegal to leave notes on a car. So what is a cop going to do? Other than laugh at you

I think the way the OP is now, there is too LITTLE info to go on here. You don't know the history of the neighbors or WHO it even is. You provoke them with credible PO-PO action who knows what will happen. Likely a warning, but this could validate this dude to be the biggest ass for the rest of his existence in the neighborhood, try to vandalize stuff, or try to make reports on the OP on anything he thinks is worth calling. BTW, when I lived in a neighborhood in VA, they HAD to respond to credible complaints or they looked negligent.

Besides, Im sure the cop's first few questions will be "do you know who did this" and are you willing to talk to them about it if we look into it?

We have people at work like that--they'll write aggressive emails, I go confront them about it and they act like everything is perfectly fine.

Dude did you know that NN police swat actually gets to compete in special forces comps because of their kill counts? I think they are one of the most decorated sniper teams on the east coast. Yea, Norfolk aint got shit on NN. Those dudes are next level.

I feel like that would be the definition of a frivilous lawsuit..... Definately talk to them yourself if they were the type of people to actually do anything they would have by now instead of just writing notes and hiding in their house haha
Curios to see how this turns out

Holy shit, I had no idea. When I first met my wife, she was living in NN. I made damn sure I was carrying my Springfield every time we left the apartment. Most of the time we just stayed in.

Hell yea man, Hampton roads is the only place I have carried in my ride and had a weapon under my mattress. Shit went down, I had a light and two mags at the ready. Considering that every place around me got robbed but us, I think the peeps knew who to stay away from. I think collectively in our college house we had about 8 weapons total. Homies never tried us though.
