    Good afternoon,
I was replacing my front door speakers in my 2017 Access cab Taco yesterday using Crutchfield's instructions which are OK-not great but OK. When I pulled the left panel out this piece of rubber on the left fell out. So I said I'd figure it out from the right side door. It takes some force to pop out the panel and when I did, this right side piece of rubber fell out. I have NO idea where they go or what they are. So far has nothing to do with window, lock, or mirror operation?? I searched Google for these numbers with no luck?
    989R4 f3 19451 (right side door)
    989L4 f3 19452 (left side door)
I hope someone may have had this happen to them?? Right now I just left them out??
Any help would be very much appreciated!! Thanks!!

Thanks so much and I will study this in more detail tonight. It could be part# 5 maybe-thing is I still don't know where it goes?? It seemed to come from the rear of the panel-almost upper right or upper left corner depending on right or left door? I'm bummed as I don't want some leaking to happen.....Thanks again for your help!! I'll see if I can find where they go?? Numbers on them don't seem to go with anything??
    have a good afternoon!!!

Post your question in the Audio/Video forum. I'm sure some of those guys have removed the panels and know where that piece fits.

Hm. I've taken the door panels off and these didn't fall off but I'd look around the edges. It looks like a piece of weather stripping/rubber seal that would go around the edge of the door or A pillar. Maybe some where around the base of the window.

Did you have the windows down when you took the panels off?

Had one of these fallout as well. They are a piece of weather stripping as said above that goes toward the rear of the door. It sits near the top of the door panel basically right on the glass.

They are a bit of a pain to line back up, let me know if you can't find the place and I can take a picture of the location.

Thanks for all your replies and figured it out last night with a buddy who has an eye for crap like that. You are correct that when you face the opened door, it's a piece of weather stripping that fits in the back corner of the window-sorta clips on a little rail and there and then right next to the window.....pain in the ass to put back and still have the right side to do, but I'll get to it soon......just an odd piece of rubber but guess it serves some purpose-maybe so water won't run down inside the door??
Again-thanks for the help! This is the best place for information ever!!

Interesting. I had both of my door panels off twice and I don't remember those pieces on my 2016.

They are there but some stick to the door panel, I had mine off a couple times too and that piece only came off once.

Now if I would have had a heads up on the sail panel white clips.... Once u removed the rear sail panel to pull the white clips from the door and put them back on the panel it woulks much better than the dang clip getting pushed into the door and needing to open everything back up to fish them out

I have removed my door panels on several occasions to install the pass smart handle, speakers and sound deadening material, etc. I didnt have that piece fall off except for 1 time on the passenger front door and I had no idea also where it came from. Luckily when I pulled off the drivers door panel, it didnt come off and I was able to figure out where it came from. Even knowing where it came from, it seemed like a puzzle to put back on.

Found this little rubber piece sitting under my drivers seat after I had some work done on my driver’s side door. Looked up the part number and found this thread. Sure as hell, the driver’s side door is missing this. Guess I will be going into Toyota this week for the second complaint about their shoddy work. Thanks!
