Your Oilers friends are definitely different from my Oilers friends. The majority of my friends, along with myself, are simply ecstatic that the Oil have made it this far. I haven't seen one person plan a parade yet. Except def67

 

Quite possible. It's only 4-5 guys that are on this kick about Bettman screwing the Oil. I figured it must be a fan base thing or tied to someone talking about that on the local news maybe.

 

It's the popular thing to do - with regards to hockey stuff. Blame Bettman. I have my issues with refs at times. And some days it feels like the Oilers still get the 'whipping boy' treatment. But it has nothing to do with Bettman. He's just the Goat of the NHL.

Most of the local 4x4 groups don't use forums anymore. Forums can be easy to hack and hard to maintain unless you have an I.T. guy paying attention to them for a cost you can afford. In the case of clubs with 50-100 members there just isn't enough cash to support good forums anymore and Facebook makes a good substitute. While I'd have Facebook either with or without my need to keep in the know with runs and meets, having my 4x4 clubs on there makes it critical to me.

Once you have Facebook trying to keep people off of your page is pretty daunting. You can shut it all up into privacy heaven but then be prepared for butt hurt friends. So right now, being an Alberta resident, I have to put up with some pretty stupid Oilers rants. Small price to pay I guess.

 

God I hope the Oilers win. Edmonton can't handle another 2006 riot or worse a Vancouver riot in Edmonton. Riots are much more advanced now.

I quit facebook this year because people are generally too stupid and it drives me nuts.
I read about the Betman hate in sportsnet comments which are just slightly dummer than facebook comments. I don't believe it but this is the trash talk thread and trolling is part of trash talking no?
Anyhow, when's the cup parade for the Oilers?

 

Wouldn't the NHL rather have their next chosen one continue to play? The Ducks haven't played a 60minute game yet, this series though. I feel like they are the better team, but the seem to get sleepy at some point, in every game.

Anyways, let's hope the Pens can finish this series off at home. That last game was very annoying. Glad Sid is back though.

 

I just hope Holtby falls back asleep for this game like he was for 1-4...
