One of the few things I miss about my 2nd gen is having fog lights. For those of you who have attached some sort of aftermarket fog light to your aftermarket bumper, what are you using?

Do they "spill" light? I want to be able to use them on the road, without being that asshole blinding everyone. I know aiming will affect that a lot, but a strong cut off line seems important as well. I'm looking for a low and wide beam.

well, then get a REAL fog light. Not just an LED cube or something like that.

As you said, the cut off and the beam pattern are very important for that. I have PIAA 510s in my Elite bumper and they worked great. I popped a bulb though in one. But Still nice lights. There are other out there though.

Not the brightest lights in the world, but they are a true fog and fire wide and low.

Awesome. Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

I wasn't even sure if such a thing was available. My quick google search just linked me to a bunch of cheap led pods claiming to have a "flood" pattern.

There are some LED fog lights out there..but they aren't cheap haha

The PIAAs kinda of ruled the market for a while. Think they even have an LED version of the 510..there is like 5 versions of it haha I have the Ion ones.

The 410s are pretty cool too if you only have square spaces like for led pods, they are a dedicated fog beam. That's what I'll be putting in my bumper because cheap pods are getting on my nerves.

Not fog lights though. Driving lights. Different beam pattern. You'd want to turn those on and off like high beams on the road/highways.

Hmm, I thought they were a fog replacement for some super duty trucks. Well either way I'd be turning them Amber yellowish too

Won't change the light pattern though. Still have to turn them off for oncoming traffic..not a bad thing. Just be ready for it and be nice to others.

    yeah..i bought mine used haha

Idk. I'm going to study up quite a bit. I've never ran aftermarket lights of any kind, but I do know that if I'm going to pony up for a set, I want a set that I can turn on a not worry about turning them off. B/C I'm lazy. That and I don't like the idea of a 4,000lb chunk of steel barreling toward me to be driven by a blind man. Ha.

For sure, I only use my normal headlights on the road. In fog I'd imagine they'd be less blinding just due to general hazyness, I actually want them just for fog. But yeah I don't wanna blind anyone, I hate when people even have misaligned lights.

I did not build these! I got them used in CO. They are Relentless Bed Bars. Work great. Simple and not too tall. Very happy with them. I have ideas on making my own though..as usual.

Just havn't had the shop to do the work I used to as of late.

Just checked and it seems they don't make them anymore. (It's not on their website :notsure: ) Which made me start looking at who else makes bed bars for first gens and I'm drawing a blank  My current bed rack is a real POS and was looking to change it up since idk when I'll be able to make my own

huh..did not know that..that must have been a very recent thing. I know he just launched that new bed rack design that is bolt together..so maybe that is what you have to do? Thought there were different heights available too.

Eric, @RelentlessFab any input on this?

I thought maybe CBI made some too..

I have a white truck, the paint is beyond screwed up. I just dab paint on the spots that might rust through and don't think about the rest of it.
