What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Thought about it! I can also get the bumper shells for about $150, or get a new painted bumper for $200 through a friend at a local parts place. Who knows, not a big priority as of now so ill just see what happens. Already derped my grill and im thinking of getting it professionally painted but i need to see pricing on that first.

 

It's not all truck stuff though. But imagine how much I saved on shipping with prime!

Huh? I have a DCSB and my 60" Hilift fits just fine on the bed rail with my ATO mounts

 

For what it's worth... Sometimes it's a good idea to compare prices from Amazon vs. other places. I've found for certain things that you can get at a department store even with free shipping it's more expensive on Amazon.

But for other stuff? Amazon FTMFW. I love living where there's a ginormous distribution hub.

 

Walmart often beats Amazon on bench power tools. As a retirement gift to myself last year I upgraded a number of machines (10" drill press, 8" bench grinder, disc/belt sander. etc.) End up buying mostly Wen products--Walmart beat Amazon on each; by $40 to $60, free shipping too...

 

217k mile oil change, added some lighting under my awning, removed rear bumper/hitch, and started designing aux battery box for underneath the bed in the spare tire location. Plan is to put a 31M battery there and use it for off grid camping w/ a solar panel.

 

That's good. I've seen a few things on here complaining because the didn't fit.

 

Put about 540 miles on it this weekend between 4pm Friday and 10pm Sunday. Ran like a champ. Drives great on the highway with the exception of it feeling like its a little loose in crosswinds.

Put in the round black climate control knobs at lunch - I put a tiny piece of masking tape on the shaft for the flow direction control (far right) to tighten it up, otherwise they fit nicely.

Tonight I'm going to work on making the dome and map lights LEDs. I did the dome first the other day and its blowing fuses. I contacted the vendor and he's suggesting I might be pushing it in too hard - very possible. I'll find out tonight.

 

Paint looking great. Just gotta get my passenger side rear fender and rear bumper on!

Edited to add: how many miles you have on your 07? im curious how the 6spd is treating you so far.. I just picked one up with 25k miles

 

Wheeler's Off-road 1.5" AAL showed up today, time to put them & the rear 5100s on.

 

Have fun with that one! Installing an AAL can be a pain in the ass. It's tough to get enough room between the axle and the leaf pack to get the new centering pin in.

 

Screw that. Two bolts and your doing the work on the bench. Pull the leafs out of the truck.

 

Not really a "what did you do to", but a "what did you do for" post. Got a new carport, 20' W x 24' L, for the lady--right in front of my shop...

 

Don't you love when you order so many things for your truck over a short period of time that when a package arrives you have no idea what it is...

Yup, she was kind of squeezed in under the other one, and made it a bit convoluted to get my bike out...
