    The code requires that the footings are 2" above grade. That was my way of making that happen.

    Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
    x100!!! We had a problem with our cat urinating on things (yes, she's still around and VERY lucky). We went through a lot of Nature's miracle. Not sure if the whole house is saturated in it, or she just stopped. Either way, been quite a few years since the last incident, and absolutely no smell ever! Read the instructions, saturate and let air dry. Glad we stuck it out, because she is quite sweet. But without NM, who knows...

    I think products like Kilz are effective because of their solids content so a good exterior paint should work fine.

    recommendations for an orbital sander? I have mostly Dewalt stuff but Bosch seems to have a good one. Porter cable one seems to be the economy one. It will not be something i'll use terribly often but want something that will last.

    Got the finishing touches on the back yard landscaping. Looking for a big rock to land in this spot and got a great price at 5¢/LB! (1000b rundle rock) Good to know people. Loaded it up and got my GF's dad to crane it over the fence with his work truck.

    If you put a large rock in, please sink in slightly. It looks more natural than just sitting on the surface like some random thing set on the ground.
