long story short, got an OME lift with 2" aal. Bought a cap and noticed some sag with it on. Started researching prices for dakars or other ways to level it out again. Had a peek at the current leafs while brainstorming on what to do. I count 4 on my rig. The big overload leaf, the aal, then 2 normal ones. But it looks like there is room for one more leaf. Is that gap normal? I looked at the leafs on an other taco at my work and it doesn't have a gap like mine. His is newer though soo:confused:

What year is your truck? Early 2nd gens came with a 3-leaf pack, later 2nd gens came with a 4-leaf.

My '11 has a 2+1 combo but it has both tabs so it is post TSB. I think all the newer 4x4's now come with post TSB 3+1 style.

Not sure if they still sell multiple versions of weight rated leafs or not.

I have a 08 Sport with tow package, came with 3-leaf pack.

My understanding is the tow package includes the tow hitch, upgraded alternator, and tranny cooler for you slushbox guys.

@Sidney Vicious thick leaf closest to the axle, keeps the spring pack from getting too negatively arched (overloading)

So is the leaf closest to the axle is the overload? I have 4 leaves total - 3 plus an overload? Thx

i have four leafs, still slightly negative arc, and still cant hold squat, but squat it does if you add anything larger than a costco sized pack of TP in the bed!
