    Hi'ya Chris

Hope you can get the water out Andy.... when I had my water leak, pulled the carpet up and left a fan blowing underneath until it dried. No mildew and no stink

So, to give you guys (that understand electricity) an idea of the stuff we're dealing with and why we're fixing/up grading. Today I was digging more trench for more conduit. In the process I did accidently find the 480 v line (12/2 direct bury) with the excavator bucket. It's on a 30 amp fuse that's wired to a 20 amp breaker. So instead of burning the fuse it popped the breaker....and today's question is "just why in the hell would someone have a 30 amp fuse coming off a 20 amp breaker!? I'm not even an electrician and I know we can't even get 30 amps out of that.

We are on a Slab so I shouldn't have to pull up the carpet, I had a fan on it and the vacuum pulled up most of the water but I need to clean it to get the smell out. I hope.

Will the padding dry good if you don't pull it up? Never mind I forgot I have a slab in the basement and when I had a water leak it dried ok

I'm on a slab and wanted to make darn sure the pad dried. When serv pro helped the neighbor, they pulled the carpet back, too. Even though we got all the water out that we could

Good evening or night, especially if your name is Greg :D

Long day started with a shot in the foot at Mayo Sports Med, the people that work with professional athletes and the US armed services Special Forces. The team did a pretty good job guiding the needle into my ankle joint, although doc said the degenerative arthritis is getting pretty bad and they will not be able to do too many more of them. I was able to hold still the whole time, hurt like hell as @Cypherian knows and when I wanted to flinch just kept thinking

It worked. They gave me some pills but I don't like taking that crap. Although in the last 2 hours did have 3 shots of vodka with diet orange drink. After work fixed my garden faucet bib out back that was corroded so bad didn't think it was possible but Amazon to the rescue.

Thread Cleaner. Below 150 PSI so low pressure in my book and have done more than my share of chasing threads and busted threads. And why do they call them an easy out? But used 2 pipe wrenches on the bib and sweat pipe stub so I didn't break anything. Put my ass into it, had to and between my sciatic nerve and foot at times was thinking what the hell was I doing. See above picture.

Now have a water hose to the deck took a couple of hours but well worth it. Filled the dog bowl, bird bath, watered plants and after the rain tonight will clean the grills and smoker off.

Also sent my mother 2 mother day cards. One was a funny type with a unicorn on front and opened it up and it makes a farting sound and said something about unicorns farting rainbows. Could not resit and told her I hoped it brought a smile to her face. Also sent her one of those pretty cards with a nice message on it. I am lucky to have her still around even though she is not as mentally sharp as she used to be after the stroke. But she still is mentally acute at times. I owe her more than 2 cards a year for Mothers day. Hope everyone else that happens to be lucky enough to have their mother has done the same.

Well you broke the damn internet! :p

Yeah simple math, grab the channel locks....

I live in a multi level house and much of it is on a slab. When the oldest dog was getting to end of life he made a mess of it. I ended up ripping the carpet and padding after he passed. Glad I did. Will fill the cracks in the cement and finish it, the sealer is only good for so long. All those damn nails they drive in are a pain in the arse and have to grind them down after I cut them off. But to me it is the right way to do it. Now I need to decide carpet, laminate or wood flooring. When it is cold carpet does feel damn good on the feet. Especially with the hot water pipes running under it.

Hey Bob! Me too, I think some confuse Texas with dairy cows, we all know where the dairy cows are. Texas is the land of beef. Might be some confusion about a bull and a single teat... Makes me think of when we pulled into Greece and had those sidewalk cafes with the baked goods like baklava. And I saw a glass of milk go by so flagged the waitress down and ordered one. Took a big swig and spit all over the table and my shipmates, it was goats milk.

What a great picture you have in your avatar! Beautiful, powerful, and all presidents since they have come into existence in an international incident asks where are my aircraft carriers. Well the intelligent ones anyhow. And they know where the FBM subs are.

Steve is in charge of the Seawolf program for the submarine update for the Australian Navy, long story.

Looks better without the mustache and glasses took me awhile to figure that out too. When the Ex left the stache was the first thing to go for me.

Can read about it here http://www.defence.gov.au/dmo/NewsMedia/DMOBulletin/ensuring_capable_reliable_submarine

But a picture is said to be worth a thousands words.

He might be a bubblehead but I would sail through and storm the gates of hell with him in charge. He might call birdfarms targets but we all work together. Or at least the new ones do, but we did also.

So, lets talk about how they don't make em like they used to.
    Refrigerator edition.
My 20 year old Kenmore is having some problems. We think it is taking a shit.
We had the "guy" come out 3 or so years ago cause we were having some problems, basically the fridge wouldn't stay cold, so he replaced a part. Now it is crapping out again.
So I started fridge shopping when I got off work at 2:00. Back and forth to the orange box and Sears. Price comparing, and we decide on the fridge we want. $2100 dollars for this fucking thing, then the wife tells the home depot guy what Sears said about their delivery guys. "Only when they get somewhere and have trouble because the homeowner hasn't done his due diligence"
    Uh.
Have I done my due diligence?
Maybe I better, so off I go to run home to measure doorways, and guess what? This fricken fridge won't fit through any door I got.
    Great.
So we go back to shopping for a fridge that will fit through the fricken door. $1900 dollars and we find one. Its a little smaller, 22.4 cu feet as opposed to 27 cu feet.
Cool. Still has a beer drawer that will keep my Shiners at 33 degrees. Ya. I am a happy man. Then the guy tells us this doozy.
The sale of the protection plan. Apparently according to this guy a power outage or power surge can fry these refrigerators. Are you fucking shitting me? The last time we got some rain we had power go out 3 times in 10 minutes. We lose power around here a few times every year.
20 years Ive had my old fridge, moved 3 times with it and been through probably 100 power outages. Ive actually lost 4 T.V.s do to monsoon storms. Now I have to worry about my 2000$ fridge?
Then he mentions they are figuring these new fridges have a 10 year life span. I think the fridge I got cost 900$ 20 years ago.
Im calling the repair guy and gonna fix my old one. The insulation and seals are all still good, so I just have to have him replace whatever make it cold part isn't working and Ill keep trudging on.
    Unbelievable.:annoyed::mad::boom:

In other news, got my made in the U.S.A. Redwings in today.
