For a while now the e locker on my truck hasn't worked correctly. It would seem to lock in, but the light on the dash would still blink. I decided to investigate yesterday, cleaning all the electrical connections first, when I discovered that one of the connectors had been separated from the wires. From my reseach, it appears to be the connection for the indicator light on the dash. The wires had some how pulled clean out of the connector. Ive tried searching all over to find a female connector the same as this one, but I've come up empty handed. The only solution I've found so far is to buy a whole new harness from low range off road. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Is that for the detection switch? (the thing that tells the computer that the diff is locked)
    If so 90980−11250

If the wires are still good and have the metal pins attached, you can just push them straight into the new housing. If not, you will need 2 of these (repair wires).

I found this info using the 99 tacoma connector reference and the master toyota connector reference. I first found the connector number from the 99 list, then searched in the master list to verify that it looks the same. Then search the 2nd part of the part number and you will find the repair wire part number for that particular connector.

Yes, it's for the detection switch, telling the computer that it's locked and turns the Diff Lock light solid. Everything else is working as it should and is locking, I made certain of that this morning. The light on the dash just continuously blinks even when it's locked.

That is exactly what I have been looking for! Unfortunately the wires broke from metal pins, so I will have to use the repair wires. Thanks for the help!

Does it light up when you put the key in the ignition? I would lean towards the light not working before the switch. Does the locker engage even without the light?

If you've checked fuses, and all are fine, I would think that the problem is in the locker itself. do you have a way to check and see if it is getting power at all?
