@BamaToy1997 wife is going to take photography classes soon. we have a canon rebel(not sure the model). recommendations on a camera? cheaper than yours though.

Depends on what she wants to do with her photography. If just a small hobby the a crop-frame like a Canon T5 or Canon T5i would be a good beginning. If she wants to make money off it, or get competition or print photos, then really the 6D is in my opinion a good way to go. Buying used isn't a bad idea. Find one with less than 50,000 clicks is best.

The most important part is the glass. (Lenses) quality lenses will be the best investment.

just checked. she has a t3 that we bought years ago. defiantly hobby. Are you a canon guy? if so are the jumps from T3 to T5 and so forth worth the money? trying to figure out, after she has classes, how high we should/could go. I think we could spend a little more than a t5, just don't know if it would be worth it

Ok it's been confirmed it's just spider gears. @yota243 you were correct it's not limited slip. All they have to do is replace the spiders. Problem is they can't get any in till Thursday morning. Oh well.

I know a thing or two about a thing or two; not sure how necessary this is because of the vague response given, but tell dave to kiss my grits

T3 is a fair beginner camera. If just for fun and for hobby you should be fine.
