How built does a truck have to be to do this trail?

I'd love to go to Moab and do some stuff in a few years. This one would be on the top of my list.

Not super built. Few tricky areas but if you have sliders and aren't a moron at picking lines you can make it on 32s and you'll drag your rear bumper/tow hitch a lot.

well you will need sliders if you're on 31s and you might not have a front bumper or rear bumper that look the same as when you started..lol

With 33s and sliders you'll have no issues.

I'm waiting to see what the Front Range kit is gonna cost... thinking about getting it cause it looks cool.

Then 255s and at least sliders and skids.

You'd see way more benifit from the sliders and tires then that LT kit..if it ever comes out. ha

They keep saying it's coming out soon, they down in Moad this weekend hopefully doing some final testing or something.

I don't wanna buy new Ucas, so I don't have a weird alignment when I lift the front higher to fit the tiresome and then replace them later.

I tried to make that make sense....

I kissed my tcase coming back down the loop so I'd recommend skids. There are definitely some good ledges on that side but there are lots of people who go up the right side and back down it. I think a near stock truck could do that side.

X2. The downside/ledges were very washed out last summer.

dude you don't need a lot of lift to fit 255s. Lift is not how you clear tires. A hammer is.

If you lift the truck and think you won't rub when offroading with larger tires you're just kidding yourself. Lifting the truck does nothing to the geometry of the suspension. If you cant clear the tire at full stuff with stock coils..you sure as hell won't with a lift.

Plus the more you lift a truck the less down travel you have.

2'' on our trucks is about perfect, its a good split of up and down travel.

I think i have 1.5'' or so right now with 255s and if my alignment is good, i don't rub unless im fully stuff and and full steer lock.

Lifting the truck doesn't change how the upper and lower control arms cycle. Why do you think us folks with 35s cut huge hole is the fire wall? Because its the exact same suspension you have now, but a huge tire.

Huge mis conception about it on here or in general about any truck out there that lifts help clear tires. The only "lifts" that do that are body lifts and drop bracket lifts. None of which i recommend for extensive offroad use.

    And a knife

This needs to be more widely known. I see this on the facespace everyday. Somewhere out there there is a list of tire sizes you can fit with what amount of lift and people take it as the gospel.

I guess I was part of that misconception group.

I honestly don't even know how much higher my front is from where it was stock.

    Thanks for the info.
More stuff to keep me up at night ha.

Huh..interesting. Well good luck! Synth line is the way to go for sure.

I typed that and went.."huh, that should be a slogan for something" haha

    yeah, kinda sad really.

There are lots of factors to clearing tires..but lift isn't one of them. Alignment, wheel specs and a BFG and cut off wheel are what are important.

Hell really with that LT kit you would see an increase in up travel too so you'd likely have to trim the entire fender ha
