Yeah it's been quite a while for me too. Last one I checked out was 2010 version. Had changed quite a bit from release 12.

I used to use it all the time because I could draw shit faster in it than I could in anything else using it every day. Now I'm pretty much lost in the new versions. I had a floating toolbox set up with all my most used commands in it so I didn't have to move to the side to click a button to draw something. I could move the toolbox around on the screen to where I was working on the drawing. Friend of mine uses 2010 I believe with Carlson software for surveying.

 

Do any of you guys know Revit, I'm going to learn it. Does 3D rendering , virtual walk throughs, material take offs and etc.

Wanna say I've heard that mentioned in the Eng dept here. They use AutoCAD and SolidWorks only though

 

Showing the clients what their shit will look like when you're done? You're moving on up in the world.

 

Anybody seen @Kemosabe as of late?

 

It's been a few years but basically the same prinicple as SolidWorks, I could pick it up again if I had a copy. Youtube is your friend I'd assume

Probably that you don't have a clue about the software I was talking about but, I knew how to explain it so you would understand.
