How long will a 2nd generation Tacoma last? Years and mileage?

    I got a 2015 TRD off-road. Never abused, never been off road. Looks like new. has the 4.0 engine. Wondering how long i can expect this thing to last. I would like to pay it off and hold on to it if it is that durable. Currently 22k miles on the clock, original owner, all maintenance up to date.

    Wondering because of the issues i have heard about with the 2016-2017's.

    I saw one go to 400K. Great engine, 2nd trans around 350K. Still going at 415 K. Great choice--much more power and smooth trans. All scheduled maint. was dealer performed.

    I'm so confidant in these trucks wife got one with 140k miles. Runs great. 26 service records since 2012. If its anything like my 96 4runner that has 280k miles I will be happy. 21 years old and only has had a failed radiator, fuel pump, rear axle seal and a ball joint.
