It's less Tacoma and more mod
The synth line is great, so easy to work with and weighs so much less. Used it a week ago to pull a buddy out and was prepared for it to be heavy and unweildy and was pleasantly surprised when I started spooling out.

Thanks man! They are mounted on some brackets I welded up and bolted to the steel skirt thing. Need to add a support to the bottom, they shake more than I was expecting.

I'm so tempted to buy this lift and install it in my yard somewhere... Would make oil changes a hell of a lot easier. lol.

I was surprised how cheap it is. Looks beat up but I honestly have nowhere to put it. My garage doesn't have the ceiling clearance and I'm sure my HOA would have a stroke if they saw me installing a commercial car lift in my residential garage.

Sir, you are not allowed to run a chop shop from your home, as it specifically states in your agreement, paragraph 24 section iii.

You know my ridiculously strict HOA is the reason I couldn't buy a parts Tacoma. I found this '98 TRD 4x4 (missing the engine and drivetrain) for only $500. It had soooo many good parts on it still. But there's a clause in my HOA contract that says you can't park "non-operable vehicles in your driveway"

Meanwhile down the street there's a $100k MSRP Mercedes Benz S600 V12 just sitting in the driveway with 4 flat tires, moss growing on the body, and an expired tag from 2010 yet the HOA doesn't care.

You could probably bend that "non-operable" thing in your favor, saying it's not a vehicle, or saying it somehow is operable... but I'm sure you don't want to get into a pissing match with your HOA...

Problem about living in the California suburbs is there's literally no room anywhere to do anything, my backyard can barely fit a smart car.

    Do it!!!

I bet you can get them to come down in price.

Brand new lifts in similar style are $2200 delivered. I looked, for what seemed like forever for a deal on a used lift. Ended up saying "fuck it" and ordered a brand new one.

If I was in a warm climate, my lift would be outside. Natural light and great ventilation is a huge win.

The way I look at it, if I'm spending time on this site, there is a pretty good chance I enjoy working on my cars.

For the cost or a good set of tires and wheels, I can get a tool that will be used my whole lifetime. I'll be lucky to get 5 years out of the tires and wheels.

I took this pic just before I changed front shock assemblies. It took me 35 minutes to remove both tires, and shock assemblies and replace.

    Fuck working of the floor.
