Anybody installed mobtown sliders? I got mine in and trying to figure out if I need an extra pair of hands. Read the instructions a few times and the wording leaves a lot to be desired.

I did our AP sliders by myself with jack and jackstands. I suggest you have some extra hands.

It's easier with another set of hands but doable solo with a jack.

It was pretty annoying because of how unbalanced the weight is and it's heavier towards the frame rail side.

Hey guys, been lurking around the site for a while and its cool seeing how much the DFW group has grown. Hoping I can make a meet up in the near future.

Also, any way I could get some details about your Danger Close bed rack and sliders @Zac of all trades? I'm thinking about picking some up from them.

Mine didn't even come with instructions, but the install was pretty straight forward. I started installing by myself using 4 jackstands. I got it about an inch away from the frame before my friend showed up to help. By myself was possible, but definitely easier with a helper. Should help to prevent damage should things get out of control trying to hold them in place and getting hardware lined up/bolted in. I got a couple small scratches in the fresh paint from moving them around on the jackstands.

I can help one evening after work if you want to get them on soon or we can do it when the ECGS thing goes down.

    Anywhere with good cold beer!
No clue what any of those places are...
The instructions where pretty bad when I installed mine. I still have a couple bolts(1 each side) that never got installed but they are still solid. I ended up using 2 more people to make it go much smoother because when I used a jack it kept trying to move the slider away from the frame. @c4lvinnn is dead on with the weight balance being annoying but I managed to balance it pretty well with the placement of the jack being towards the back of the truck. It took much less time using 2 people to hold it while I put in the bottom bolt. It was enough to hold them in place while I put in the rest of the bolts.

Time to start loading the truck up again for Overland Expo. Planning on hitting the road by 5am and completing the 14 hr drive to Flagstaff! Going to explore the area thursday, hopefully hit some local trails and set up the camp for Overland Expo. Should be a fun week. :woot:

@Tundra2Play and I were talking about that just yesterday. If it's not too hot, I might go. I really don't want to sleep outside when it's 90 degrees at night. Also might need some more lights, but don't want to go overboard. The little spot lights in my bumper did a decent job on Friday but I was in the middle of the group.
Have you been? Some of the sounds cool, but I'm in the same boat as @SuperBad . I'd either love it or hate it.

@Silverspool did you install the TrailToys mirrors? I got mine in last night. Took me less than an hour. It will take a little getting used to, but I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Have not installed mine yet, spent most of last night cleaning off the mud from the outside, inside is still filthy and smells like east texas, not steven.

Yeah ive been night wheeling at nw ohv, its a diff crowd, its pretty rowdy and those guys party. It was a pretty good time.

Just to see that many buggies was something special, some serious rigs out there
