Between the leaking rear diff and the transmission shift points screwed up I think Toyota should totally replace the drive line in the 3rd gens. It's sad you guys are having to deal with all this shit.

I'm more or less happy with my 3rd gen. Actually my transmission isn't that bad, but it does act a little weird at times. I thought perhaps this box will improve the driving experience a bit. My rear diff isn't leaking and my vin isn't on the recall list (at least not yet), so I guess I lucked out. I do miss my 2nd gen though. I wish I didn't crash it.

None of the OR models have been loaded into the recall yet. It'll come.

Just a bad seal and torquing the bolts down correctly (major lol). I don't see how Servco could deny warranty work if your diff is leaking, TSB or not.

random topic, but who here has a WaterPort? @LogCabins and ? just wondering what the real-world experiences are with these things? like, how much water it really holds (advertised as 3.3 gallons) and how long does the pressurized water last? I have a RinseKit that I'm borrowing, and that thing is a piece of shit. it's listed at 2 gallons capacity, but the pressurized water stream lasts about 90 seconds (advertised as 3 minutes lol). I've been going back and forth on the WaterPort GB, but no one really posts real-world experiences in that thread. just curious if you guys know? mahalo

Ive almost bought one many times, but I have other priorities on my truck first...
Ive talked to many people that have it and they love it, especially for overlanding and the beach...because sand is a bitch sometimes...

Crap, especially for the keiki and camping, you may need more water than any of those kits...

1.1 gal/min pump, zodi propane heater, homemade hose and shower head, and as much water as you can pack in or on the truck.... lol. Last trip, brought up probably 25 gals, for showers and to bathe the dog... kids ended up with only 1 shower that trip, so I didn't even touch 10 of it...
