I've never wanted a Tacoma until the 3rd gens came out; always been a Jeep guy. Liked the more aggressive body lines and style. When I got back from a deployment last year I traded my Jeep in for a lifted '14 Tundra. The wife subsequently stole it about two months later and now I have a TRD Offroad. Learning very quickly that my wallet will be quite thinner now with what I have planned: 3/2 leveling kit, 285's/wheels, bed rack, grille et al. I look forward to learning the more intricate work of trucks as opposed to my crap Jeeps I've had over the years. If you have any advice on any of the above listed mods, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Nice truck.

Get a properly fitting prong for your dog and fit it just below the jaw line. Right now that prong is doing more harm than good.

    Welcome to TW.
My best advice would be to stay away from this site,
my second best would be to be financially responsible and try to pay off the truck first before you start modding.

Welcome. Advice? Search function is your friend. Stay away from spacer kits if you want to maintain or improve ride quality. If you plan to Run 285s you'll need to be willing to trim or possibly chop cab mounts as lift alone will not allow bigger tires. See my sig for a great mild lift write up that many members are running. Also if you lift be prepared to deal with needle bearing see my sig on that too.

    Again welcome.

This was the only manual I could find within a 200 miles radius. I was looking for black or quicksand but no dice. I found out that white does not show the body lines as well as the other colors but beggers can't be choosers.

We are covered 8yr/80,000 mile bumper to bumper so any suspension mods will void the warranty. the stealership said they would install pretty much anything any components will not be covered and possibly void the entire warranty...not sure if that is legit or not

Question gets asked a lot here. Basics are if your modification touches whatever breaks then that portion of warranty could be voided. It won't void the entire vehicle warranty.
