IMG_1654.jpg IMG_1653.jpg I wanted use of the pump with a slide in camper in place -- so I mounted the switch and quick connects near the licence plate.

I use a Camelbak connector for my input line.

I had @ProForce make me the ammo can setup last month. Super portable and handy to have for when I don't have a water source. It works perfectly! I would imagine with parts and shipping it would get quite expensive to ship. He did such a great job! This guy knows his stuff! Don't hesitate to buy from him. You won't be disappointed!

I just bought a plastic 50 cal ammo can from Amazon that I'm going to build this kit into. I'm going to run some cables under the truck and make it a plug and play setup in the bed. Will get pictures posted up when complete!

I don't see why not. As long as it isn't too hot that it might melt filters or plastic in the pump. I'm working on adding some sort of water heater to my rig as well, but might just go with a solar bag to at least not have freezing water lol

Finally got around to mounting my water system. I routed everything to keep it a single unit and prevent from drilling large holes in my bed. I tested it with no issues and my wife even got excited. Little does she know that she will be the primary user of this device. Thanks again OP!

My wife now wants me to make one for her Odyssey. I have a few ammo cans (both plastic and metal) that I will experiment with so she can take it with her to the beach and clean the kids off.

Does the pump require water in order to turn on? I'm finally installing mine now that it warmed up and can't get it to come on. I have 12v when testing between the power wire from the battery and the grounding wire for the switch/pumped th pump does not turn on.

Seems to be a ground problem. I tested the pump directly to a spare battery and it runs. I tested the pump through the switch to the spare battery and it runs. It won't run when connected to the truck unless I touch the ground wire to the bolt holding the bed down. I'll probably run the power and ground wires direct to my Blue Sea fuseblock rather than rely on a weak ground near the pump.

Yeah I saw this one a while back--I like the pressurized part to it, but not sure I want to carry an extra water container. I plan to have onboard air so pressurizing another system wont be too hard.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the install. If the grounding point in the instructions is not working for you, there is a metal support bracket in that trail light cavity on the right hand side which actually covers where the water lines enter the cavity from the quick disconnects. That is a better ground. The reason i didnt put that in the instructions was because i didn't want anyone drilling into their water lines on accident. If you are careful enough though you can use that bracket instead. I can get a picture if you're not sure what i mean

It's all good, I just ran a ground wire straight to the Blue Sea fuse block in the same loom with the power wire. I just thought it strange that I wasn't getting a good ground at any of the spots I've seen other people use. Started making me wonder if my multimeter was bad and there wasn't actually 12v in the wire like it said.

Did you ever decide if you were going to do another run of these? I would be interested in one if you did.
