    Do you weld aluminum?

If not can anyone here? Just wanting three pieces of angle welded together at 90 degree angles, then that contraption welded to another piece of aluminum. I thought the contraption was steel.. it's not.

Plan was to make a shelf of sorts, angle iron along the back of the stove, then along both sides. And then weld the angle iron to the mount where those 4 screws are.

And thickness, whatever you think would hold that weight.

I'd bolt the stove in a few places to the angle iron.

Stove will have adjustable feet so it's secure when driving.

    You're right. I'd use a 1st gen Tundra.

Just look at all that bed space. Says it'll sleep three adults. Get your freak on.

Ok need some advice... went to look at a 1st gen Tundra today and overall it looked really clean. No rust on the frame, no leaks from engine, tcase or transmission as far as I could see- overall seemed to be in good condition. The salesman told me it had been in an accident but that they had just replaced the front clip and headlights and it wasn't a big deal. I just came home and ran a carfax and come to find out it was declared a "total loss" last June. The salesman insisted it had a clean title, is that possible? As far as I can see on carfax it's not salvage or rebuilt. Is it possible for it to be declared a total loss but not have significant damage? Should I just forget about this one?

    Run...

    Colorado title?

It's "totalled" if the insurance company thinks it'll cost too much to fix vs it's value.

What title does carfax say it has?

Well that's the strange thing... it says "No Problem" for rebuilt, junk, salvage, hail, etc. and it says "title issued or updated" last December (last record of the CarFax). Basically I can't really tell. I've attached the carfax in case you care to take a look and tell me what I'm missing...

In my experience carfax blows. Done carfax reports on vehicles after I already owned them and goofy stuff that never happened always shows up. Stuff that wasn't there before. Also had my mother in laws car show up as mine. Linked to the vin and everything.

At the bottom it shows what total loss is... So it had a bunch of damage but didn't meet the states standard for a salvage title for whatever reason.

So if you like it and the price is right (for a salvage title) since it essentially is as far as resale, i would go over it with a fine tooth comb or a good shop/tech look it over. @thefatkid

Hail damage could total a vehicle... Even though everything else works great. You just never know. And a vehicle can be completely totalled and never reported, rebuilt and be clean.
