I have been using discount tire for 20 years and never had a problem. Cheapest prices and fast service. I think the main problem is your just an asshole.

Always had good experiences, nominal wait times and no safety lectures. only visit them like once a year at most anyway.

Odd, when I make an appointment at my discount tire, they get me in within 5 minutes and out within 20 minutes of a rotate and balance of all 4 tires. OP, you just have bad luck.

The last straw for me was when DT donated $1,000,000 to defeat prop 205 in Arizona which would have legalized cannabis. At the end of the day, I'm not going to have a penny of my money going to donations that I completely disagree with. I don't even smoke the shit but don't think people should be getting fined and jailed over it.

Sorry you had shitty experiences. Maybe try a different store, we're not in Canada where you have to drive 100km to the next one. I love my Discount Tires, I don't be a dick to them and they aren't dicks to me. Was just in to replace my KM2 (with certificate) which I fucked up offroad, They know I fucked it up offroad, I even shared some pics, they love it.

Firestone installed my tires in 1 hour. They have been really good at service.

They have replaced several tires on my EXs car since she keeps hitting pot holes with her low profile tires.

    This.

Any retailer can try to sell whatever they want. I just smile and ignore them saying "no thank you" and move on.

Your experience is with dumb tech's. DT has great prices. They always outbeat any local seller. Plus they do awesome deals on eBay. Love discount.

Y don't you rotate your own tires?

Don't think I caught this in the thread: a reason not to do your own rotations is for tire warranty. I don't recall the specifics, but the tires I recently put on from a big tire retailer near Boston were guaranteed for only a quarter of the miles, or something like that, if I didn't go in for two torque checks (25 miles and 500 miles, each of these costing me at least 40 min) and the regular rotations. Essentially, they are getting proof of good tire care in exchange for their tire life warranty. At least that's my interpretation of what I think of as a simple DIY maintenance task.

I'm an asshole because I think waiting up to 2 hours for a simple rotation is ridiculous? I have better things to do with my time. That's a bold statement for someone you haven't met. No wonder you don't have better things to do with your time.

I notice all the people with great experience live in smaller communities. I live in southern California. The problem is similar to the airlines over booking.

Don't you have a driveway? I didn't have a garage until recently either, but that's how I did it.

I went there once for a set of tires. I never said I'm a lifelong customer? So when you make appointments, you're ok with an extended wait times? Not following your logic
