I have an 09 that had the trans TSB fix. It shifts perfectly except when it is cold. The first few times it shifts in to 5th it's rather hard. Only does it for the first 2 min of driving though. Any thoughts?

You can try resetting the computer to re-learn driving habits (unplug the batt for 10min). It's probably just cold fluid, perhaps it's at an improper level (seems like from the factory they've been a tad low).

When it's cold the truck doesn't like going into 5th because it's trying to warm itself up with higher RMPs and therefore tries to stay in 4th till it warms up. Are you driving it hard when it's cold or easing into it the first 5 minutes or so?
