    Hi all-

Bought an '06 DCLB TRD Sport, and it came with 17" Fuel Revolvers with 285/70/R17 Toyo A/T tires. I think they are a bit loud, and I'm getting 17 MPG. I also think these Fuel Revolvers look a bit too flashy for my taste. This truck doubles as a work-truck, and I don't want it to look quite as 'tricked out'.

I'm considering swapping them out for some stock 2016 wheels (16"), running 265/70/R16. (Plus $150 cash).

I'm hoping this will potentially decrease road noise, give maybe a bit better MPG, and give me more options for tire choices in the future.

Eventually I want to take out the silly 'leveling kit'/spacer/Revtek whatever it's called. Truck just seems 'fake tricked out' right now.

Wrong forum? Wouldn't this do better in the 2nd or 3rd Gen Marketplace?

Mmmm...I'm not actually trying to find wheels/tires. I'm looking for advice as to whether swapping wheels/tires will help me achieve my goals (better MPG, quieter, more tire choice, less 'flashy').

With stock gearing, 30.6" - 265/70/16 is close enough to standard 30.47" - 245/75/16... should increase fuel mileage depending on driving conditions and your driving habits. 32.7" - 285/70/17

You'll be happy with that plan. You'll be incredibly happy once you get those spacers out of your truck.
