Those are good prices! Thanks for sharing. They don't have the 60" extreme, just the 48. Is the 48 big enough or have there been situations where a 60 is needed?

Depends on how high your lift point is and how level the terrain you are on is I reckon.

That truck must feel like a freight train by comparison.

I think that's the perfect way to describe it. It rides nice for what it is but that diesel is loud :D. Two gas tanks too so I can make it from Rolla to STL without filling up hahaha

    Hello St. Louis Tacomas!

I'm going to be moving to St. Louis from LA for medical residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital starting next month. It recently dawned on me that I will need to get my taco smog checked in St. Louis and I have been paying off a shop over here in LA for the past few years. The only "illegal" engine mods I have are a K&N 63 series air intake (which is only illegal in California so it should be okay in MO) and a Banks exhaust system. The cats are still on but I removed the Banks muffler and replaced it with a "straight pipe" to get some more oomph (the Banks was too quiet for me).

I think if I just throw the muffler back on it should be okay to pass emissions in St. Louis. Any thoughts on this? How do tacos with engine mods in the St. Louis area usually handle smog checks?

    Thanks for the info!

You should be ok with the catalytic converters still installed. If you added the muffler I have no doubts you'd pass. If it was me, I'd just talk to a local shop and ask their opinion about whether the muffler is necessary.

The Missouri emissions testing is pretty easy. They don't actually hook up your tail pipe like IL does. They just plug into your OBDII and if you pass 3 out of 4 cycles you pass.

FYI I'm doing some contract work for BJC right now, love that place, Childrens has some of the best hospital food ever.
